Many years ago I had on my desk the 1950s bubble gum machine. This was part of the décor for the executive offices of a magazine I owned. Being involved in graphic arts and marketing of this nature one almost expected our office is to be a fun environment. Unfortunately the only available office furniture for that time were conventional rectangular office desks. We would have been much better served with today’s modern wave front desks with meeting table extensions. But this was before the personal and business computer age and as such the office desk was not an integral part of a dynamic work environment.
